Principles of pruning. The tools, techniques, timing, and species-specific treatment of Pacific Northwest ornamentals. Includes field experience and ladder safety. Participants bring their own by-pass hand pruners, folding saw, and rain gear. Multiple perspectives (lecture, reading, and field practice) in order to make decisions about how to appropriately prune a variety of common landscape plants in different situations.
