Service Description

Picking up from Joinery 101, we further explore the many ways of Joining one piece of wood to another, from screws and glue to special cut wood joints. Demonstrations are provided. The class will include: an understanding of the forces to be resisted and the expectations for a wood joint; the types of wood joints and their relative strengths and weaknesses; adhesives and their application; fasteners such as nails, screws, and other connecting hardware; layout and cutting of typical wood joints by hand and by machine.
